Prototypes

• The prototype should, as far as possible, look like the finished product.
• Use the prototype to verifiery the functionality, performance, reliability,... of the design.
• Optimize manufacturability and the manufacturing processes (and preferably according to applicable standard).
• The serious prototype manufacturer will give you important feedback in the design-process. A manufacturability-check, already after placing the components, might be a really smart move.
